First Annual Fall Workshop
Saturday, October 17th, 2009

The Chapter's first fall annual fall workshop was held at the Carrollton Agricultural center from 8:30 -12:00. Approximated 25 people were in attendance which was a great turnout considering it was our first year and it was a very cold morning with intermittent sleet. We all warmed up with coffee and muffins before sitting down for a talk on Invasive Plants in Georgia presented by Wendell Hoomes that contained lots of good suggestions for control. This was followed by Larval Food Plants for Butterflies, presented by Mike Strickland on how to attract and support the butterflies in the larval stage of life and the 3rd program was Landscaping with Native Plants for Fall Color presented by Fran Forsyth and Gina Strickland.
